The 2023 MaccPride event was held on 15th July in the Market Square in the center of Macclesfield.
The event officially started at 10:30am outside Christ Church, with a procession from here into the town center along Chestergate.
As the procession proceeded down Chestergate, many of the shop owners and partron’s stood outside the shops, cafes and restaurants to wave despite the heavy rain, which thankfully stopped shortly after all arrived at the town square.
The main stage event started with a speech from Cllr Chris Wilcock who introduced the event.
There were acts a plenty from local children dancing, a knife juggling unicyclist and even the Gay Gordons all the way from Manchester.
Lots of local businesses and charities came to support the event and there was many stall in the garden area of St Michaels Church.
Despite showers throughout the day, MaccPride 2023 was well attended and all those we spoke to had fun.
